Professional Philosophy
Professional Mission and Commitment to Clients, Colleagues and the Community
I strive to be an ever-appreciating asset to any firm or team I work with by taking responsibility for my own personal and professional self-improvement, maintaining and attitude of humility and supporting my peers in their own personal and professional journeys.
More importantly, however, I pledge to be fair, equitable and team-oriented in all that I do because I know that we are greater than the sum of our parts. In the same vein, I vow to support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives because I know that diversity of all types stands to make any team stronger by bringing a wide variety of perspectives and lived experiences to the discussion
Core Values
Honesty: Through all the trial and tribulation I have experienced in my personal and professional life, no single principle has been nearly as vital as maintaining open and honest communication. Even if there is someone in personal or professional life that you perceive as untrustworthy, you must be straightforward and honest with them because collective trust is an integral component of an effective team.

Humility: Humility is the cornerstone of perpetual self-improvement. I have encountered my fair share of highly accomplished individuals across a variety of trades, industries and career areas. The majority of these high-achieving individuals present with an air of genuine humility because they must be receptive to criticism and willing to implement actionable feedback in order to meet changing needs and compete in their discipline. The best are always thinking of ways to be even better, and that’s what makes them the best.
Camaraderie and Cooperation: Having a team-oriented attitude becomes increasingly important as one progresses through a career journey. As you become responsible for an increasing number of subordinates and projects, the necessity to have a cooperative attitude increases exponentially. The more people you oversee, the less likely it becomes that you will be able to maintain a close-knit relationship with all of your direct reports. From the perspective of a subordinate, it is easy to write off the ‘corporate big-wig’ as a distant emotionless figure that one should fear rather than respect. A cooperative, solution-oriented attitude can go a long way in terms of people seeing you as a leader as opposed to a boss.
